RTX Workshops are interactive, practice-oriented sessions designed to help Lehigh researchers move ideas from discovery toward real-world impact. Each workshop features experienced “research translation experts” who share candid lessons learned, practical frameworks, and real examples—from what works to what to avoid—across the research-to-impact journey.

Topics may include:

  • Commercialization pathways (startup vs. licensing) and go-to-market basics
  • Funding and capital strategy (SBIR/STTR, angels/VC, non-dilutive options, pitch readiness)
  • Industry partnerships, customer discovery, and stakeholder engagement
  • Intellectual property considerations and university translation processes
  • Building a venture-ready team, timelines, and common pitfalls

RTX Workshops are geared toward faculty, postdocs, and staff, and students are welcome to attend. Sessions are designed to be approachable whether you’re exploring translation for the first time or actively working on a project—come ready to learn, ask questions, and connect with others doing translation work across campus.
