Lehigh’s Research Translation AcceLUrator is dedicated to turning research into implemented solutions through startups, industry partnerships, and societal initiatives. By fostering inclusive growth, providing expert resources, and cultivating the skills and mindset needed for success, we empower students at all levels, post-docs, and faculty to lead transformative, impactful change.

This image embodies the mission and structure of the Research Translation AcceLUrator, a program specifically designed for graduate students, post-docs, and faculty to empower them in translating their research into impactful, real-world applications. At its core is a commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), ensuring that innovation is accessible and beneficial to all.

The program provides participants with tailored Guidance, Education & Training and Resources, and to support their journey through three primary pathways: Venture Creation, Translation to Existing Industry, and Social Impact. These pillars include:

  • Guidance: Mentorship from seasoned experts to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in research translation.
  • Education & Training: Interactive workshops, one-credit courses, and skill-building sessions tailored for PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty, equipping them with practical knowledge and strategies.
  • Resources: Access to funding, networking, and technical tools that enable participants to bring their ideas to life.

By participating, individuals will gain:

  • A Research Translation (RT) Mindset: A strategic and innovative approach to making research impactful.
  • A strong Skillset: Expertise in areas like commercialization, stakeholder engagement, and implementation science.
  • A network of Expert Resources: Lifelong access to mentors, advisors, and collaborators.
